Red Seals: 5 A Day

Available from: iTunes, Spotify and Deezer

Description: Red Seals is a gang of fuzz-rock miscreants from Southsea, Portsmouth. Like many of the 90s era boy bands they idolise, they are four in number, predominantly male of gender and display a plethora of heights, dance steps and psychological architecture.
Their debut single '5 a Day' is a cautionary tale, depicting the karmic perils of narcissistic debauchery laid down on a jagged bed of masturbatory rhythmic dirt noise. It will be released on 9th November via super sexy ultra artisan label Champagne Justice.
The single is backed up by 'BCL (Blue Clipper Lighter)' which casts Mr Thurston Moore as a pyromaniac murderer with a penchant for newsagent fare and tutus. It is very rock.
The release is digital only and you can get your mitts on it via, iTunes, Spotify, Deezer etc with a physical incarnation planned for 2016 if enough people care.

Ghost Of The Avalanche – This Is Earth EP 10" (Transparent Blood Red Vinyl)
Available from:

Description: After 2 years on the road with the likes of Stiff Little Fingers, Pulled Apart By Horses, The Dickies and the Damned, noise punks GOTA have returned to the studio with producer Ben Findlay (Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel, Goldfrapp) with the aim of capturing the raw intensity of that live performance on record. The EP finds the duo experimenting with a darker sound, developing textures within their limited setup of bass, drums and vocals to deliver their heaviest yet strangely, most pop-orientated and dynamic release to-date.
The EP cover artwork was created by legendary 2000AD/Judge Dredd artist Shaky Kane who's punk pedigree and striking individual style instantly made the band want to collaborate with him.
A limited pressing of 300 on Transparent Red, 10”, Vinyl will be released exclusively through Grebo Records during Independent Label Week 2015.

'What a great noise – power, energy, commitment with a lyric that leaps straight to the jugular. For me this is pop songwriting at the diametric opposite end of the spectrum from Simon Cowell: fresh, vital, vigorous and huge fun, without an ounce of fat anywhere.' – Tom Robinson, BBC 6 Music

The Maybys: Amphetamine

Available from:

Description: To celebrate the first ever Independent Label Week, Birmingham based band The Maybys will be releasing their debut single 'Amphetamine' on Regent Street Records.
Made up of song writing team Geoff Hornsby and Carl Maycock (formally of the rock outfit 'Super6') and drummer Kate Porter (also of the killer band 'Sex Pissed Dolls'), The Maybys use heartfelt folk-rock to deliver this beautifully crafted track. With an anti war-on-drugs message that is hard to deny, Hornsby’s sincere vocals have echoes of Springsteen and Townes Van Zandt, and give 'Amphetamine' a truly classic feel.
The USA TV premiere will be on NBC 'Jimmy Lloyd’s Songwriter Showcase'. Presenter Jimmy Lloyd met Hornsby and Maycock 5 years ago at the UK pilot of the show, and Lloyd says of the Birmingham musicians "They're phenomenal songwriters out of Birmingham and great guys, and we 'clicked' as they say." The episode is due to air in early 2016.
'Amphetamine' by The Maybys will be released on Friday Nov 13th across all digital platforms on Regent Street Records.
